From Joe Okyere, Elmina.
Twenty-one elders, 21 deacons and 23 deaconesses have been inducted into the hierarchy of the Apostolic Church of Ghana, Cape Coast Area at the church’s 75th anniversary convention at Elmina.
The occasion formed part of activities to mark its easter convention at Elmina on Good Friday.
Speaking to The Mirror after the ceremony, the Area Apostle for Tema and the International Mission Director of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, Ebenezer Nsesa Abrebrese, called on Ghanaians to be obedient to the state and the church.
Apostle Abrebrese said most of the indiscipline and anti-social activities such as high profile crime in the society are not in the interest of the state and the church which preaches moral values .
Apostle Abrebrese advised Ghanaians to be guided by the virtues which Christ preached.
He asked all, irrespective of their religious beliefs, to extend love to each other in order to build a strong nation.
In his message, Apostle D.P. Agbeteye of the Cape Coast Area of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, admonished members of the church to reaffirm their concern for souls and consecrate their lives unto the Lord.
He said by so doing they shall be a blessing to the nation, the church and their individual families.
